How do I check my power supply for sims 3?

I just bought sims 3 a few weeks ago but it says I need to upgrade my video card. I googled about video cards and replacing them, and I came upon many statements that say ‘that you need to check your power supply and see if it can handle it’. How? And do I need to buy a new power supply with the video card?

You’ll have to open up your computer case and look at it. There should be a label saying what it is. Chances are you’ll need a new one if the video card is requiring alot of power and you have never replaced the powe supply.

If this is too difficult of an option, then check out the specifications for your computer through the manufacturer’s website or another website to see what power supply you have installed.
